We got up... did some yard work, cleaned the car... then were reminded that it was free Sacramento museum day! We planned on meeting up with friends when we got there, but the three of us quickly packed a lunch and headed to the Sacramento Zoo. Bryce loves animals, the weather was great, perfect day to go to the zoo.
We expected crowds, but the zoo was in fact a zoo... of people. The freeway exit alone was bad news. Then as we drove to find parking, the line getting into the zoo was over 300 humans long and counting. Still in search of parking, b/c Bryce wasn't going to be happy to drive all that way for nothing, we found our Plan B. A nice little park filled with other plan B-ers who also opted for a less crowded environment. We never met up with friends, and we didn't get into the zoo, and yet it was still the perfect day.
Bryce loves slides. Don't let those serious faces fool you, he was having a great time!

that is so funny. We did the same thing when we have just moved to Manteca. I think we only had Thomas and Spring at that time. We spent about 10 minutes in the zoo and then left. They had fun at the park...I wonder if it was the same park you went to?
