Murder Mystery!

Chef Renee and Olivia had dessert menus and served us for the evening!

The suspects:

Philippe and Summer

Rose and Glen

Tammy and Ty

And sadly I don't have a picture of Bree and Shane, they looked fantastic too! Bree busted out her French skills and continued to stay in character the whole time! It was literally amazing to me! It's fun to mix things up every once in a while. Thank you all for participating!

Turkey Trot!

His First Race!

To get Bryce going, we played a little, "Catch Daddy"...

Bryce did so good! He ran the whole way, with the exception of a few encouraging swings. He ran a 1K (.6 mile) . Toward the end he was getting tired, but then he saw crowds of people, all cheering for him. He was probably the smallest kid out there, and as we all know, small things are always cute! So when Bryce heard and saw all these people cheering for him, he found that last punch of energy and smiled his way through the finish line!

After the turkey trot, we came back to Grandma and Grandpa's house. While preparing the feast Grandma made salt dough for all the cousins to make ornaments for her tree.

With all the busyness of the Feast, we forgot to take a picture... But I guess I don't need a picture to express my gratitude. I am truly a blessed person. I married the most wonderful man I know. Even my dad will say he only has two flaws. We have a beautiful son who keeps us busy and laughing. We both come from faithful and loving families. My parents are among my best friends, and I have fantastic in-laws! We have a comfortable home, that we arrive to by traveling on a beautiful road. I have wonderful friends. We are healthy. My husband, I have to mention him again, because he is my greatest blessing. He makes my days the happiest, and he helps me through the hard days too. He lets me talk his ear off, on days when I've had little adult interaction, I just love him. He's the best dad, he helps me be a better mom. Love him!!!

Pilot Lessons

A good friend of ours is a pilot for the US Air Force. A while back he had owed me a favor and told me he'd take us to try out the flight simulator on base. Ty had been once before, and so I figured I'd lost my chance... So I was really excited when Tracy asked us again. Tracy has become a great friend and we are so grateful for all he's done for our family.

Our friend Daniel was with us too... Couple more lessons for him and he might just be good enough for the real planes!

Tracy - Real Pilot, Flight coach, boss, he assumed all titles and responsibilities that night! So fun! Thanks again Tracy!

My mom is gonna kill me...

Having more fun with our new camera, Ty and I were entertaining Bryce and decided Grandma and Poppy needed to join the fun. Don't be mad mom, we all look bad!
If an explanation is necessary, take a picture while making your....?.... Ty and I are stumped. We have no idea how to describe this action... But make your lips be in constant motion, take a picture, and see what the camera caught.

Why am I posting this?

New Camera!

So happy having a camera again!

This is Bryce "trying" to go poop! He didn't. But we sure are glad we had a camera to capture the "effort". (Quotes intended)

Meant to add these pictures to the Halloween post too.

Some wonderful ladies in our stake put on a weekly class called Music Makers. During the month of October they gather all the Halloween costumes they can and have them available for kids to wear during the class. The first week Bryce wanted the Thomas costume, but refused to put it on, then I got to wrestle him during a mid-class tantrum when another little boy walked in and had the costume on. The following week Bryce got smart and put it on without a problem.
Then half-way through he saw the Buzz costume, and wanted to change. Bryce is crazy about trains, and he thinks Thomas is pretty fantastic... But I was secretly happy Buzz Light year one that day, since he's a favorite of mine. Just my personal opinion, but
Buzz is way cooler than Thomas.

So there they are, three of Bryce's favorite things: Thomas, Buzz, and Gru!

I'm only two weeks late

The inspiration:And the first movie Bryce ever sat through, and will still sit through. He loves, love, loves Despicable Me. Thank Goodness I do too! A few months ago I thought of this costume... Comfy, cheap, and he gets to wear girly black leggings! Fantastic!
Bryce thought the eyebrows were a little strange, but he didn't complain.Bryce didn't really understand the "Trick-or-Treat" part, but he gets "candy". He was quite comfortable knocking on doors asking for candy, in fact we had to keep telling him to stay outside the houses. He was a little comfortable and would walk right in.

With Grandma and Grandpa Biggs so close, we were glad they could join us for the festivities... And be our babysitters while we enjoyed a grown-up party later in the evening.

It's not Halloween anymore without stopping by Gillespie's. Every year he has hundred and hundreds of pumpkins lit, and I am always impressed with the carving skills of other's.

The local fire department comes as well. They hand out candy, but more than anything. Bryce wanted to see the engine. We love our firefighters! Always so friendly!!

And to wrap up the night, Bryce got to watch Despicable Me with Grandma and Poppy.

While we went to our party. Thanks again mom and dad.

Oh, and I can't forget our brilliant Halloween costumes this year. Here we are with our good friends, the Callisters. People get us mixed up ALL the time! At church, at the store, at the temple, it's really quite amusing. I am sure it doesn't help that both Ty and Steve work at the same place, we live in the exact same model home, our last names are similar, both have one kid, similar height, hair, you name it... We find it too funny. We typically just play along when it happens and report to each other later, but for Halloween, we decided to have fun with it. We love the Callisters!

Happy Halloween!
