SF Sunset Cruise

We scored some cheap tickets for this sunset cruise around the SF Bay, and I think we might do it again sometime. The weather was perfect, and it was just nice to try something we hadn't done before. The San Francisco Bay really is beautiful, especially viewed from on board a boat.

I know... I'm awesome with a camera. Now if I only had a nice camera...

Sausalito

Bryce loved running around. The boat would rock him back and forth, he found it hilarious when he couldn't keep his footing!

Kids five and under are free... You can't beat that!

This is my keeping the hair out of my face, not going for a glam shot... But again, so fun! A relaxing kinda fun! Relaxing minus the fear of Bryce throwing himself overboard, but you know what I mean!

Oh my heart

Grandma Biggs gave Bryce three balloons for Valentine's Day. Two hearts and a monkey. One of the hearts and the monkey gave up Mid April, but this heart persevered. We decided 4 1/2 months was a good life span for a balloon and decided to help it to it's grave.

Needless to say, the act of trying was too much fun, and we still have the balloon.

Actually, we decided to take it to Grandma's house.

A quote from Pooh

I found this picture on my mom's phone the other day. Where did my baby boy go? I can't believe how grown up he seems at just 2 yrs. old.

It makes me think of a quote from Winnie the Pooh, I know right, when was the last time you thought of Winnie the Pooh? Anyway, it describes perfectly how I am feeling right now:

A tuxedo day

We've received two hand-me-down tuxedos... So with no special occasion to wear them, Ty decided today was a special occasion. Bryce kinda loved all the attention he got as well!

After getting him dressed I realized he doesn't have black church shoes...

Oh, but he does have black converse shoes... Perfect!
Last weekend we had our annual community garage sale. It was pouring, but they die-hards were out, and that's when we scored this tricycle and helmet for $7! I've been wanting a bike for Bryce... Another reminder to me, that good things come to those who wait.


We got it out for the first time this weekend, and we enjoyed a nice tantrum when it was time to come inside. Love this two-year-old!

Our Scotch Lassie!

Meet my antique hutch. Given to me from my parents, who got it from a historic home nearby. I wasn't sure if I was going to keep it, given it's size. This thing is a beast. I have never felt so bad for asking my husband and dad to help me move something... Anyway, i decided to try and sell it, with the condition that if I couldn't get at least $200, which seems like pennies really, then I would keep it and make it my own. It needed some tlc, gladly rendered by my sweet husband, and I was off and painting. I also decided to glaze the piece as well to highlight the awesome molding. While I was finishing, I received a call from my mother-in-law. As I told her what I was doing, she asked me the color, I himmed and hawed and finally called it turquoise, to which she responded with a laugh and said, "that's original!"

It's original, and I am loving it! I think she'll love it too!

I tried to show the glazing a bit... It's a bit hard to see from far away. I'll take some closer pictures once I have the thing decorated and what-not. I'm going to let it cure for another week before dressing it up!

Ty picked up my color swatch and asked what the color was called. I pointed to the "scotch lassie" section. So, since this is our funkiest and fanciest piece in the house, we've decided to refer to our hutch as, "Our Scotch Lassie".

Princess shoes!

Cousins were in town, so we took the shorter drive to visit. We didn't even know it was cousin Amy's birthday, but hooray for birthdays! Bryce had a great time with all the girls, which you will see below... We need little Breck to grow up quick so Bryce can play some man games!
Needless to say, he was loving the princess shoes!

Are these pictures looking blurry to anyone else? I think it's time for a new camera.

Last one I had to throw in... Bryce insisted that I make a basket, through the hole with a ball twice the diameter of the whole. He's smart, but definitely has his moments ;o)

Two and loving it!

First month with a two year old, we made it! Actually, aside from the tantrums, Bryce somehow keeps getting cuter and funnier. His facial expressions, his words, the kid just cracks us up!

Here he is with an ice pop. I think we had one day warm enough for a Popsicle... Ice pops are my favorite kind. No sugar, but mostly, no sticky mess.

Several times a day, Bryce gives me that look; you know, the 'aren't you gonna chase me, mom' -look. With that hearty giggle, I can't not chase him. Anyway, the other day he ran and tried to hid in his toy box. It didn't work out too well for him.
I have since emptied, just for these occasions.


Bryce loves it when daddy comes home. I love it when daddy comes home. I love this kid, but I love that break. Let me do something kid-free, dishes or laundry, anything will do... And let me do them with that sweet background noise of laughing and playing with dad.

I don't love this picture, but I love these moments, when Bryce will kinda-sorta cuddle with me. I know this isn't really a cuddle, but it's the best we can get from this crazy kid!
